Virtual Fax

VoIPco understands that some businesses still needs a fax solution. VoIPco's "VFAX"Service is as simple as Email

Let's face it; Faxing has never been very good. Besides that, over the last 20 years faxing hasn't improved very much. Faxing over VoIP has not really been perfect due to the primitive fax data struggling over state of the art VoIP circuits.

That being said, electronic faxing has become the leader in faxing technology. VoIPco Fax offers a paperless way to receive your faxes and has always embraced green technologies.

Send & Receive Faxes by Email. No fax machine or telephone line is needed. If you have an email address, you can send and receive faxes.

Personal, unique fax number. We assign you a dedicated fax number for your convenience and privacy. Both local and toll free number plans are available.

Access faxes from anywhere. Faxes that are sent to your fax number are sent directly to your email address, so you receive your faxes wherever you are.

VoIPco Faxing is easy to setup. Since faxes are delivered as PDF files, you probably won't even need to install any extra software on your computer.

No busy signals. Because we maintain fax servers with hundreds of incoming fax lines, you can receive multiple faxes at the same time without callers getting busy signals, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

  • Computer → Internet → fax gateway → phone line → fax machine

The user connects to the supplier Web site, specifies the receiving fax number, and uploads the document to send. The document is usually converted to PDF or TIFF format and sent by the Web server to the fax server, which then transmits it to the receiving fax machine via the telephone network. The sender usually receives confirmation that transmission was successful, either in the web interface or by email.

An Internet fax service allows faxes to be sent from a computer via an Internet connection, thanks to a Web interface usually available on the supplier’s Web site. This technology has many advantages:

    • No fax machine – no maintenance, no paper, toner expenditure, possible repairs, etc.
    • Mobility – All actions are done on the Web interface; the service is thus available from any computer connected to Internet, everywhere in the world.
    • Confidentiality – The faxes are sent to the recipient’s email account, which may be more private than a fax machine used by several people.
    • No installation of software or hardware required – the Web interface is used.
    • No need for a telephone line for fax use.
    • Several faxes can be sent or received simultaneously, and faxes can be received while the computer is switched off.
